Welcome to Madesi Valley Ranch
The Madesi Band of Native Americans are part of the Pit River Nation, and traditionally lived in the valley surrounding what is now the town of Big Bend. We call this special place the Madesi Valley, in honor of the Madesi Ancestors, along with present and future generations. The Madesi Valley Ranch is a 580 acre stretch of sacred lands to the North of the Pit River, in Big Bend. We are stewarding this land of river banks, meadows, and forests in the spirit of the Native Ancestors, who have asked us to protect and preserve the natural health of all sacred lands.
Recent MVR News:
The 2011 Summer MVR Clean-Up efforts are ongoing, as we work with community volunteers to remove years of accumulated debris in several spots along the lower zone, by the Pit River. One trailer and numerous trash piles will need to be removed. Please contact us if you’d like to help the clean-up efforts!
